The mind is very powerful. The mind can invent, create, and allow us to experience love and joy. It is our mind that creates who we are and how we feel. Positive and happy, or negative and sad; every emotion we feel, is created in the mind. So it is important we learn how to control our thoughts, because not only our joy and happiness comes from the mind, so does the stress and misery.
Awareness allows us to stop thinking too much. One of the simplest and most effective ways to come back to the present moment is to focus on your breath.
